    Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on US 220 in Greensboro

    GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Friday night, according to Greensboro police.

    Around 10 p.m. Friday night, a crash with an injury was reported on U.S. 220 northbound at the Interstate 40-85 ramp.

    According to Guilford EMS, the crash involved a pedestrian who suffered serious injuries.

    Greensboro police have since revealed that officers found Caliph Menalik Byrd, 25, of Greensboro, dead in the middle of the road.

    The vehicle responsible had left the scene.
