(WGHP) — Keep your umbrella close by on Tuesday because scattered showers remain in the forecast.

We’ll see mostly cloudy skies on Tuesday with highs in the mid to upper 70s. The chance of rain is 40%.

It will be partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies on Wednesday with highs in the upper 70s.

Thursday and Friday will be partly cloudy with highs in the upper 70s.

It will be mostly sunny on Saturday with highs in the upper 70s.

A cold front will give the Piedmont relief from high humidity. It will be mostly sunny and comfortable on Sunday with highs in the middle 70s.

Monday will be partly cloudy with lows in the upper 50s and highs in the middle 70s. The chance of rain is 30%.

There are several areas of interest across the tropical Atlantic. For the United States, the National Hurricane Center is watching a broad area of low pressure in the Caribbean Sea. There’s a chance the system could develop into a tropical depression over the next seven days. The low-pressure system could enter the Gulf of Mexico. We will continue to watch the system carefully.
