    1 dead after shooting near Dunkin’ Donuts in Garfield Heights

    GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio (WJW) – One person is dead after a shooting near a Dunkin Donuts in Garfield Heights early Friday morning.

    According to a press release from the Garfield Heights Police Department, the Garfield Heights Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of Tourney and McCracken Roads after multiple reports of a shooting around 2:45 a.m.

    Officers at the scene found a man “in an apron of a business in the area” lying on the ground unresponsive with a gunshot wound, according to the release.

    The victim was taken to Marymount Hospital where he was pronounced dead, the release said.

    The identity of the victim is being withheld and the investigation into this shooting is ongoing at this time.
