Red Cross offers blood donation incentive in wake of hurricanes

(WKBN) — The American Red Cross is asking for help after Hurricane Helene left devastation in its wake, causing the cancelation of blood banks and the loss of thousands of blood donations.

The Red Cross has already deployed over a thousand disaster workers and created shelters for those in need, and now it must also prepare for the impending impact of Hurricane Milton .

As an incentive, the Red Cross is offering a $10 Amazon gift card to all who donate by Oct. 31. Donors will also be entered for a chance to win one of three $5,000 gift cards.
