Winston-Salem woman arrested after shooting into home with children inside, police say

HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — A woman was arrested on Sunday afternoon and charged after shooting into a home with children inside, according to a High Point Police Department news release.

Around 1:09 p.m., officers responded to a shots fired call in the 1200 block of Brownsfield Court. They were told a woman was shooting at a home with people inside.

When officers arrived, they found the suspect, later identified as Haley S. Harrah, 26, of Winston-Salem, and arrested her.

During the investigation, officers determined Harrah shot into a home at least three times.
There were three people inside the home, including two children. No one was shot.

Officers also determined a child was left in the back seat of the suspect’s vehicle during the
shooting. The child was not injured.

Officers charged Harrah with:

• attempted murder
• discharging a firearm into domestic property
• misdemeanor child abuse
• misdemeanor firearms or other weapons display and discharge prohibited

She was taken to the Guilford County Jail in High Point and given no bond.
