    Man wanted in connection to fatal double shooting in North Carolina

    HOPE MILLS, N.C. (WNCN) — The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that killed two men Tuesday morning.

    Around 11:10 a.m., deputies responded to a 911 call for a person who was shot in the 3600 block of Yarborough Road.

    After a preliminary investigation was conducted, the sheriff’s office said two men were pronounced dead at the scene. The identities of the victims are being withheld until their next of kin is notified.

    Deputies said later that Desmund Louis Moore, 42 of Fayetteville is wanted for questioning related to this incident. According to investigators, he may be driving a white 2020 Volkswagen Passat with the North Carolina tag KMY-5114.

    The circumstances surrounding this shooting remain under investigation. Investigators said that there is no threat to the public at this time.
