IKEA holding grand opening for specialty store in North Carolina

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — IKEA U.S. announced the grand opening of an IKEA South Charlotte Plan & order point with pick-up, the second IKEA location in the Charlotte metro area.

To celebrate the official opening on Wednesday, Oct. 16, there will be a celebration starting at 10 a.m. with exclusive tours, giveaways, food sampling and more.

The store is located in the Providence Shopping Center at 10844 Providence Road, Suite K-100.

This new format store would allow IKEA to better meet the needs of today’s consumers, with an aim of being more affordable, accessible and convenient.

At the store, customers can connect with IKEA experts for support on more complex home furnishing needs such as kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms. Although customers can not take products home that day, they can arrange for delivery or schedule orders to be picked up from the convenient Pick-up location onsite.
