Liam Payne of One Direction found dead, reports say

(WGHP) — Former One Direction singer Liam Payne died in Buenos Aires on Wednesday, according to Reuters. He was 31.

A Buenos Aires newspaper La Nacion, citing emergency service officials, reported that the British singer fell from the third floor of a hotel and was found dead.

Payne became famous with the group One Direction alongside Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson in 2010.

The group was known for the songs “What Makes You Beautiful” and “Story of My Life.”

The group disbanded in 2016, and the members began solo careers.

Payne’s solo hits included the platinum-selling “Strip That Down” with Quavo and the gold “Get Low” with Zedd.
