Nicholas Sparks’ new Asheboro-based novel features the North Carolina Zoo

ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Best-selling romance novelist Nicholas Sparks’ new book is based in the Piedmont Triad and already at the top of the New York Times best sellers list.

Sparks chose Asheboro as the setting for “Counting Miracles.”

With the novel taking place in Asheboro, it’s only natural for the North Carolina Zoo to also be featured.

In this week’s Zoo Filez , Sparks speaks about why he wants to shed light on the NC Zoo.
