A house that was built in 1890 by an English sea captain and served as a small resort in the 1920s is up for sale in the Poconos. The six-bedroom, 4.5-bath house sits on 50 acres at 6431 Franklin Hill Road in East Stroudsburg and hit the market last month. J.D. More than 200 new jobs coming to Tioga County Pa. plant thanks to $100 million expansion
A Tioga County, Pennsylvania manufacturing facility will add more than 200 jobs to its workforce through a $100 million expansion project. Victaulic, a leading producer of grooved mechanical pipe joining and flow control systems, will construct a 150,000-square-foot addition to its Lawrenceville foundry to accommodate new molding lines, melt furnaces, core machines, and automated finishing and paint equipment to help produce larger scale products.
St. Mary’s holds annual bazaar
St. Mary’s Church, Dorrance, held its annual bazaar on June 22 and 23. Man allegedly assaults neighbor, breaks trachea
Shamokin, Pa. — Police say a man punched his neighbor in the throat and broke his trachea, causing the neighbor to spend a week in a hospital trauma intensive care unit. James Brestel Jr., 38, of Shamokin, now faces charges for the alleged assault that occurred on June 22 near an apartment in Shamokin.
