    Obituary: Gaye Marie O’Brien Morgan, 84

    Gaye Marie O’Brien Morgan

    Gaye Marie O’Brien Morgan, 84, of Frankford, WV, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, WV.

    Born March 17, 1940, in Ronceverte, WV, she was the daughter of the late Joe Cornelius O’Brien and Ruby Belle Dowdy O’Brien. Gaye was a member of the Frankford United Methodist Church. She retired from Greenbrier Physicians, working in the OB Department for many years with Dr. Ernest Cobb and Dr. Robert Wheeler.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Morgan Sr.; brother, Pat O’Brien; sister, Patsy Honaker; and son-in-law, Ernie Williams; and a special friend, Charlie O’Brien.

    Survivors include a daughter, Jeanne Morgan Williams; sons, Benny Morgan Jr., Henry Morgan (Shawna), and J.P. Morgan; brother, James “Newt” O’Brien (Pat); grandchildren, Kevin Morgan (Jess), Laura Martin (Adam), Danielle Dykman (Jordan), Corey Williams (Allyson), Casey Williams (Elizabeth), and Tara Woody; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

    Funeral service will be 3 p.m., Sunday, June 30, 2024, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg, WV, with Pastor Pete Scott officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, Sunday. Burial will follow the service in the Morgan Cemetery, Ronceverte, WV.
