First ever humane society in Spencer County opens in Taylorsville
TAYLORSVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - For the first time in Spencer County, stray or unwanted cats will have a place to stay where they can find a new home. The Spencer County Humane Society, located at 668 Taylorsville Road, had its grand opening Saturday. Founder Victoria Snyder was inspired to start her own humane society after working for others in surrounding areas.

Police investigating after shots fired into home
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington police are looking for someone who shot into a home. The shooting happened on Greendale Road. That’s near Citation Boulevard and Georgetown Road. Police say around 12:51 a.m. Monday someone fired into the home. At least one person was inside. No one was hurt.
