Stream thousands of films for free with Rockport Library card
The Rockport Public Library is now offering a new benefit to library cardholders: access to the online streaming platform Kanopy. “Because of the extraordinary fundraising efforts of the Friends of the Rockport Public Library,” says Rockport Library Director Ben Blackmon, in a news release, “our cardholders are now able to watch over 30,000 critically acclaimed films, documentaries, and series for free on their smart TVs, tablets, computers or phones with the Kanopy app.”

Meet Sam Hiscoe, a 35-year-old who was born and raised in Houlton. In seventh grade Sam found out he had a heart condition that would progressively get worse over time. This year, Sam found out he would need a heart transplant, so he decided to document his whole journey through TikTok.

Crossroads Holdings Underway on $300 Million Mixed-Use Project Near Portland, Maine
Scarborough, Maine — Developer Crossroads Holdings LLC is underway on the development of Town Center, a $300 mixed-use project located in Scarborough, roughly 10 miles southwest of Portland. Situated within The Downs — a larger, 577-acre redevelopment of a former horseracing complex — the project will include 320,000 square feet of retail space, 60,000 square feet of medical office space, 240 residential units and a boutique hotel, as well as various open green spaces. Construction began last fall. Wilder Cos. has partnered with Crossroads to manage marketing and leasing initiatives for the retail and restaurant space at the property, in collaboration with locally based brokerage firm The Boulos Co.
