Deadline Approaching for Pennsylvania Elk Hunt License Applications
Residents and enthusiasts have only three days left to apply for an elk hunting license in Pennsylvania. Applications for the 2024 hunting seasons, which include archery, general, and late seasons, will close this Sunday, July 14. Prospective hunters can submit their applications online through the HuntFishPA platform or in-person at any official license issuing agent.
Robert “Bob” Rhoads 1949-2024
Robert “Bob” Rhoads, of Gettysburg passed away in his sleep at the age of 74 years old on July 6, 2024, due to complications from Parkinson’s disease. Bob leaves behind his beloved wife of 40 years, Janice Rhoads; daughter, Joanna Vaughn and husband Geoff of Holland, PA; son Tyler Rhoads and wife Liz of Gettysburg, and step-daughter Erin Propst and husband Matthew Moon, also of Gettysburg. Bob is survived by his 5 grandchildren, who he cherished and loved deeply: Kellen and Aidan Vaughn, Penny Moon, Jane Propst, and Ashton Rhoads.
