Carlisle Man Arrested for Attempted Homicide Following Stabbing Incident
On the morning of July 20, 2024, a serious stabbing incident occurred in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, resulting in the arrest of a local man. At approximately 9:16 a.m., Carlisle Police responded to a call from the 400 block of North Hanover Street, where they discovered a victim with severe facial and neck injuries. Bystanders were providing assistance when officers arrived, and emergency medical services were promptly called to the scene.
Shippensburg Smoke Shop Burglary: Suspect Identified and Wanted
State Police in Carlisle have issued an arrest warrant for Jessica Stine, identified as the primary suspect in a major theft at the Shippensburg Vape and Smoke Shop. The burglary, which occurred in October 2022 at the shop located at 304 N Earl Street, resulted in a significant loss with stolen items valued at approximately $24,063.80.
Franklin County Fire Department Responds to Multiple Emergencies
The Franklin County Fire Department was kept busy with multiple incidents, including two significant house fires and four other emergencies on July 19 and early July 20. The first major incident occurred at 4:10 PM on July 19, when Squad 41 was dispatched to a working house fire in the borough of Greencastle. On arrival, Chief 3 directed Squad 41 to assist with extinguishing the fire on the second floor and attic. The efforts focused on controlling and overhauling the fire.

According to the latest reports, all 28 infected individuals have been hospitalized, and there have been two fatalities linked to the outbreak—one in Illinois and another in New Jersey.
