Update: Flash flood warning affecting Franklin County Thursday evening
On Thursday at 4:26 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated flash flood warning in effect until 6:45 p.m. for Franklin County. "At 4:26 p.m., Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms were producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing," according to the weather service. "Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas."

Severe thunderstorm warnings are in effect in Massachusetts' Worcester County, Hampden County, Hampshire County and Franklin County.
