    Seven received crowns and three earned scholarships on the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce 2024 Miss Mount Vernon Pageant May 4.

    Contestants in “A Night in a Galaxy Far, Far Away” were supported by a sellout crowd at the MTV Oasis Fellowship church.

    Addison Ingram was crowned Miss Mount Vernon 2024. She is the daughter of Trey and Addison Clark. The two-time Miss Mount Vernon title holder will receive a $2,500 scholarship from this year’s win and $1,000 from last year’s pageant toward her higher education. Her sponsor was Safety Control, LLC.

    Kaleigh Copeland First Runner-up to the Miss Mount Vernon title was awarded a $1,500 scholarship. Miss Copeland is the daughter of Jon and Crystal Copeland and was sponsored by Copeland Construction.

    Lillie Ann Ellis was crowned Junior Miss Mount Vernon. She also won the talent competition for which she was awarded a $975 scholarship. Miss Ellis is the daughter of Steve and Kristy Ellis and was sponsored by Brooksey Crow Sand and Gravel.

    The $4,975 in scholarships awarded at this year’s pageant were provided by Mount Vernon’s American Legon Post #243.

    The four other pageant division winners complete the Chamber’s royalty group for 2024. They include the following: -Young Miss Mount Vernon Kolbi Baze, daughter of Lucas and Jamie Baze, sponsored by Sheer’s Gifts and Salon; -Petite Miss Mount Vernon Jaylee Ware, daughter of Crystal Manicore and Brandon Ware, sponsored by Lucy’s Hacienda; -Little Miss Mount Vernon Khloe Smith, daughter of Michael and Megan Smith, sponsored by Smitty’s Property Management; -Tiny Miss Mount Vernon Brentley Maull, daughter of Charles and Chrishina Maull, sponsored by CLM Consulting 2 and Off D Chain BBQ; and -Mini Miss Mount Vernon Hazleigh Davila, daughter of Kaleb Davila and Destinee Goodman, who sponsored her.
