From the archives – An event at the meeting house and two musicians
ST. ALBANS — As part of our ongoing work to digitize our film archives, here is a set of photos taken 50 years ago during this week in July of 1974. An older man plays a guitar and another one plays a violin in several photos. While it is impossible to hear the music from the photos, the musicians' facial expressions convey passion for their art.
NY weather update: The current flash flood warning will be expiring at 4:15 a.m.
The warning was for Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties. "The heavy rain has ended and flash flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed any remaining road closures. A Flood Watch remains in effect until noon Thursday for portions of northern New York and Vermont," according to the National Weather Service.
