    Fire destroys part of home in Franklin County early Friday morning

    FRANKLIN CO., Wash. - A large part of a house was destroyed early Friday morning by a fire in Franklin County.

    Fire crews from several agencies, including Franklin County Fire District 3, Pasco Fire Department and Walla Walla County Fire District 5 were called to Melody Lane just before 1 a.m.

    When firefighters got to the scene, they found a home on fire with flames coming from the attic of the house.

    Upon searching the home, firefighters said no one was home. It took a little more than two hours to get the fire under control.

    At this time, the cause of the fire is under investigation. No one was hurt in the fire.

    The American Red Cross is stepping in to help the people who are affected by this fire.

    Once we learn the cause, we will update you with the information.

    Two homes, car damaged after suspicious fire in Kennewick Thursday

    KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Kennewick police and fire officials are investigating a fire that damaged two homes and a car Thursday night.

    CORRECTION: Level 3 (GO NOW) and Level 2 (BE SET) evacuations still in place for Thorp Road Fire

    MOXEE, Wash. -- 8:00 a.m. - Evacuations reduced to Level 2 (GET SET) in Thorp Road Fire for the surrounding area of 1600 Thorp Rd., according to Yakima Valley Emergency Management.

    NWS Pendleton has issued a Heat Advisory for the eastern slopes of the Cascades from 12 PM Friday - 10 PM Thursday. NWS Pendleton has also issued an Excessive Heat Warning for the Kittitas/Yakima valleys, Lower Columbia Basin, and foothills of the Blues. This also runs from 12 PM Friday - 10 PM Thursday.
