Two Women Arrested in Ongoing Narcotics Investigation
Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced narcotics agents made two arrests in an ongoing investigation into a drug dealer in the Galliano area. Agents had been investigating Wendy Kieff, 45, of Galliano, and arrested her on Saturday. She was accompanied by Tessy Gaubert, 52, of Larose, who was also found in possession of narcotics.

POND, Miss. - A body found in Mississippi with multiple gunshot wounds is believed the be that of a Southern University student who went missing on July 17. Steven Harris, a sophomore at the university, has not been seen since July 17 when he was scheduled to attend a custody hearing for his child.

Police identify driver in deadly 18-wheeler crash in Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Baton Rouge Police identified the driver who was killed in an 18-wheeler crash on I-10 East Monday morning. According to police, Jamoliddin Tokhirov, 38, was driving a 2022 Freightliner Semi Tractor headed east on I-10, near the Highland Road exit. Investigators said for unknown reasons, the tractor-trailer hit the inside concrete barrier and traveled across multiple lanes before hitting the concrete guardrail and the outside guardrail.
