    Franklin roadway reopens after serious crash, investigation underway

    FRANKLIN, Ohio ( WDTN ) — A roadway has reopened after a serious crash in Franklin.

    N. Dixie Drive between Franklin Eagles and Pennyroyal Road was closed for multiple hours on Wednesday, June 26. The closing was due to a “serious” motor vehicle crash.

    According to the Lebanon Post of Ohio State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just after 3:30 p.m.

    A Preliminary investigation reveals a 2008 Honda Civic turned south onto Dixie Highway out of a private driveway. A 2003 Dodge Ram was traveling north on Dixie Highway. While turning out of the driveway, the Honda was struck by the Dodge.

    The driver of the Honda, Mary P. Hensley, 73, was transported to Atrium Medical Center where she succumbed to fatal injuries. The driver of the Dodge was treated at the scene with minor injuries.

    The crash remains under investigation by the Lebanon Post of OSP.
