Franklin City Hall will be teeming with cats and kittens looking for forever homes Friday as city officials team up with the Williamson County Animal Center for the fourth annual "Kitty Hall' adoption event.

The event will see $25 pet adoptions and giveaways from Mars Petcare for those who adopt.

“Kitty Hall is one of the most fun events we do, and I’m happy to say we’ve helped to provide homes for dozens of kitties,” Franklin Mayor Ken Moore said. “There will be adult cats and kittens up for adoption and any proceeds we make from the event will go to support the Williamson County Animal Center, a very worthwhile place in our community. Thank you to Mars for supporting this event!”

For those wishing to partake in the fun, the event will be held in a conference room right off the main hallway in City Hall. The atmosphere will be similar to a cat café, where people can come in, relax, and spend a little time with the kittens and cats available for adoption, officials said.

For those who aren’t interested in adopting, donations for the Williamson County Animal Center will be accepted throughout the day.

“We have so many adoptable cats and kittens in our community, and this event is a fun way to bring awareness to the need for adoption,” said Ondrea Johnson, director at Williamson County Animal Center. “The City of Franklin is such a great partner, and we appreciate their hosting Kitty Hall.”

Kitty Hall will run from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at City Hall.
