Frankston was once again retired in order to kick off the third inning. In the bottom of the inning, the Lady Eagles added onto their lead when Journey Brumley scored on a passed ball, bringing the score to 9-0.

The Maidens would go down in order yet again to start the fourth inning. After that, the Lady Eagles extended their lead to 11-0 in the bottom of the fourth inning after both Monk and Smith scored.

In the top of the fifth inning, the Maidens would break up Rainey’s bid for a perfect game after a runner reached base on an error. After that, Rainey capped off a no-hitter by inducing a ground out, as the Lady Eagles won the game 11-0 and also won the series 2-1.

As a team, the Lady Eagles batted 10 for 23 (.435) from the plate. Romero led the way with a three-hit performance. Monk and Smith came up with two hits each, while Brumley, Corley, and Watkins added one hit a piece.
