    Plebe Summer begins for Frederick County students at US Naval Academy

    Three young men from Frederick County began their journey as midshipmen Thursday as they were inducted into the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis.

    A young woman from Frederick County also is starting at the Naval Academy this summer.

    Three Frederick County students were sworn-in as the Class of 2028 during Induction Day at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis on Thursday. Rory Blanchard, a 2023 graduate of Oakdale High School, Steven Xu and James Partlow, both 2024 graduates of Thomas Johnson High School are beginning Plebe Summer at the Academy.
