    Frederick conducting survey to identify remaining lead service lines in city water system

    The city of Frederick is asking residents and property owners to participate in a survey to help identify any remaining lead service lines connected to the water system and make a plan to replace them.

    Lead has not been considered an acceptable material for water service pipes at the state level since 1972, according to the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE).
