Police Identify Suspect Wanted in Connection to The Stabbing of Four People
On Saturday, July 20, 2024, at around 9:40 p.m., the Rockville City Police Department (RCPD) responded to an assault near Dawson Ave and Upton St for the report of a disturbance. According to police, “first arriving officers found a large crowd and blood evidence on the scene. Officers obtained information that a stabbing had occurred. A short time later, four adult victims arrived at an area hospital suffering from non-life-threatening stab wounds.”

Mid-Atlantic c-store retailer Royal Farms has announced its latest expansion to the heart of Greenbelt, Md. The chain will open its new location in the area on Aug. 19. In Baltimore, teens more likely to be charged as adults than in the past
Baltimore City law enforcement officials are arresting fewer juveniles than they were a few years ago, but charging a greater portion of them as adults. Data from the Baltimore Police Department and analyzed by the Sentencing Project shows that on average from 2021 through the first five months of 2024, roughly 25-30% of juveniles arrested were charged as adults. By comparison, about 12% — half that rate — were charged as adults in 2018 and 2019.
