One of the top quarterbacks in Oklahoma high school football has made his college decision. Muskogee’s Jamarian Ficklin announced his commitment to Texas State on Thursday. TULSA, Okla.—The Wichita Wind Surge is in a 1-1 game at ONEOK Field against the Tulsa Drillers, which will resume tomorrow at 4:30 PM. While the Wind Surge had men on base in the first three innings, they got their first run in the top of the fourth on a Carson McCusker solo home run to the batter’s eye in center field. McCusker is now up to six home runs on the season and carries a team-leading 11-game on-base streak.
Oklahoma Child Dies in Fatal 4th of July Crash
A child is dead following a holiday car accident. A four-year old girl has died in fatal one-vehicle collision that occurred around 6:45 pm yesterday, 2 miles west of Claremore in Rogers County. OHP reports that a 2018 GMC Yukon driven by 43-year-old Jason Schroeder, of when the crash took place. He sustained no injuries. Thea 4-year-old girl was a passenger in the vehicle and was transported to Hillcrest in Claremore where she was pronounced deceased upon arrival due to injuries sustained in the collision.
