Shepherd Theater. <nbtemplate data-id="AdPlaceholder" data-content="JTdCJTdE"></nbtemplate> The public can book tickets online for Fredericksburg Theater Company’s summer musical, “Annie Get Your Gun.” The box office is open for walk-ins at 9 a.m.-1 p.m. (Check website for exact times.) Cast in the production is Meg Ellisor as Annie Oakley, Anthoney Farmer as Frank Butler, Steve Gurney as Buffalo Bill Cody, Rachael Remlinger as Dolly Tate, Elliott Dooley as Tommy Keeler, River Wellborn as Winnie Tate, Barry Sikes as Charlie Davenport, Joel Keefer as Foster Wilson, Marvin Schroeder as Mac, David Lucas as Chief Sitting Bull, Tess Kothmann as Jessie, Abigail Fitzsimmons as Nellie, and Lucas Howell as Little Jake. Guest artist September Van Der Stoel will serve as music director, and Judd Vermillion will design the scenery. FTC resident stage manager Courtney LeFan will design the lighting. FTC Costume Shop manager Chasity Trajcheski will create costumes, and guest artists Rhonda and Regan Mann will choreograph the dance numbers. Students will perform in the junior version of “SpongeBob, The Musical.” Students from third grade to high school seniors are accepted. Scholarships are available, and the class size is limited, so early registration is highly recommended. The FTA youth production will be part of FTC’s primary stage season for the 10th year. Second round of auditions set for Johnny Cash show FTC will hold a second round of auditions for its summer finale musical, “Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, June 7-8, at the Steve W. Shepherd Theater. <nbtemplate data-id="AdPlaceholder" data-content="JTdCJTdE"></nbtemplate> Actors must prepare 32 bars of a Johnny Cash song (preferred), or a song from a classic country music artist, and should choose a song that best shows the auditioner’s vocal range and abilities. A CD player and MP3 hookup will be available, along with a pianist. Actors should feel free to accompany themselves with an instrument of their choice. No acapella auditions will be allowed. Actors will also be asked to read excerpts from the script, available for check out from the FTC Box Office. Although Ring of Fire is an ensemble show in that it is intended for five cast members to also play the instruments, it is not mandatory for this production. Rehearsals are typically Monday through Friday, 6:30-9 p.m., and will begin on June 12.
