Popular Kansas City-area barbecue spot plans to close, reopen in Kansas
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A popular Kansas City barbecue spot is closing shop and moving across the state line. Harp Barbecue in Raytown announced it will close in September. The owners plan to move from the current location at East 66th Terrace and Raytown Road to a new Overland Park location near West 135th Street and Quivira Road.

Pettis County man sentenced to 20 years in prison for molesting two children
A Pettis County man is headed to prison after pleading guilty to sexually abusing two minor children. Marlon Lange, of Green Ridge, pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of third-degree child molestation. He was sentenced to 10 years on both counts but will serve them back-to-back for a total of 20 years.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A ramp in Downtown St. Louis was closed after a semi-truck overturned late morning Thursday. The northbound I-55 ramp leading onto the Poplar Street Bridge towards Illinois was closed after a semi-truck overturned on the road. Police believe it is a two-vehicle crash where the semi-truck hit the median before overturning.

Man from Cole County convicted of manslaughter after killing his girlfriend in 2022
It has been ruled that Joshua Wilbers is responsible for the death of his girlfriend, as he has been convicted of first-degree involuntary manslaughter. In November 2022, Hallie Phillips, a 20-year-old, was fatally shot by Wilbers from Jefferson City. Following a bench trial, Wilbers was found guilty of the crime on Wednesday. He is scheduled to be sentenced on October 1.
