Come meet our journalists at IndyStar's mobile newsroom at the Indiana State Fair
"We don't know who you are." That's probably the clearest message the IndyStar has received from the reader advisory panel that we launched earlier this year. The panel is a mix of avid IndyStar readers, former subscribers and folks who are interested in local journalism but haven't ever supported it with a subscription.

Big Ten primer: Indiana’s greatest football moment
The Indiana Hoosiers take pride in their basketball. They don’t have a rich and lengthy history in college football. They have won the Big Ten championship exactly twice in more than 120 years of competitive football. That long run of futility at least makes it easier to identify the program’s greatest moment. The 1945 Indiana team went unbeaten and tied once, finishing fourth in the final Associated Press Poll. However, the college football landscape created by World War II had something to do with that Indiana season, which was and is a historical outlier. Another reason that 1945 season isn’t discussed...

U.S. 30’s Future May Depend On Indiana’s Next Governor
Whoever the next governor of Indiana is, current Republican Gov. Eric Holcomb said it’s crucial that they get on board with the U.S. 30 freeway project. “I think it’s critically important that 30 comes to fruition, and it’s an immensely important corridor that speaks to not just the potential but the demand for growth in an area like this,” he said. “I mentioned how special this community is. The same can be said going across the northern part of our state. It’s beautiful, it’s safe, it’s high-quality of life, and businesses increasingly are wanting to grow where people want to live. And so, it’s really a win-win-win when we get done with all the due diligence on 30 and get busy finishing it.”

2024 Countdown to IUFB Kickoff: 42 Days (Quentin Clark)
Hometown: Dexter, Georgia (West Laurens High School) The state of Georgia is one of the better hotbeds for talent and the Indiana Hoosiers have certainly gotten some good players from the so-called “Peach State” (South Carolina dwarfs Georgia’s but I digress). Tom Allen and his staff landed a commitment from Clark in June of 2023 and the linebacker affirmed his commitment to Curt Cignetti in December, signing with the Hoosiers on December 20.
