PA man pleads guilty to receiving sexually explicit photos of 14-year-old girl

( WJET/WFXP ) – A Beaver County, Pennsylvania man pleaded guilty to receiving sexually explicit photographs from a minor online.

On Wednesday, June 26, Mark Kriss, a 64-year-old Freedom, Pennsylvania resident, pleaded guilty to a charge of receipt of material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor before Chief United States District Judge Mark R. Hornak.

According to information presented to the court, Kriss made contact with a 14-year-old girl on a dating site targeted at extramarital affairs.

On May 22, 2021, he received sexually explicit photographs of her online and later acknowledged responsibility for meeting the girl for the purpose of engaging in sex acts at a local motel.

Kriss could face a sentence of between five and 20 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000 or both.

Chief Judge Hornak scheduled sentencing for October 29, 2024.
