Man charged with threatening Rice Lake police
An Oshkosh man with a history of disorderly conduct in a number of Wisconsin counties is accused of threatening Rice Lake police officers who responded to incidents of alleged harassment in a city park. Jason T. Stamper, 51, was charged on Wednesday in Barron County Circuit Court with felony threatening a law enforcement officer. If convicted on this count, the defendant faces a maximum penalty of a $10,000 fine and six years in prison. ...

OSHKOSH (WLUK) -- Their motto is "keep 'em flying." The War Birds of America brings history to the grounds of EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh. The group encourages the preservation and operation of World War II and other aircraft that are representative of military aviation operations. They provide opportunities for the public to learn more about these planes by getting up close to them.

7-26-24 nurse charged in connection with death of waupun inmate is bound over for trial
A nurse charged in connection with the death of a Waupun prison inmate has been bound over for trial. Probable cause was found at a preliminary hearing in Dodge County Circuit Court Thursday for 47 year old Jessica Ann Hosfelt of Oshkosh on a charge of abuse of a resident of a penal facility in the death of 62 year old Donald Maier. Hosfelt is one of nine staff members at the Waupun prison charged in connection with either Maier’s death of the death of 24 year old Cameron Williams. According to a criminal complaint Maier died of dehydration and malnutrition in February after prison staff failed to bring him meals and employees turned off his access to water after they say he flooded his cell. Williams died of a stroke last October after staff ignored his signs of distrress and failed to perform required checks according to prosecutors.

Manawa Mill Pond to be restored after dam breach and flash flooding
MANAWA (WLUK) -- The Manawa Mill Pond will return after the dam breach that occurred earlier this month. A few weeks after the early July storm that caused flash flooding in the city, Manawa is getting back to normal. Clean up from the flooded wastewater treatment facility is underway in Lindsay Park. Kids are fishing nearby along the banks of the Little Wolf River, since the 186-acre Manawa Mill Pond remains empty.
Texas man ejected, killed in head-on crash in Fond du Lac County
FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WBAY) - A 19-year-old from Texas was killed in Fond du Lac County Thursday morning when the car he was driving crashed head-on with another car at a curve. The sheriff’s office says the crash happened on County Highway D near Hawes Court at about 7:30. An investigation shows the driver was failing to negotiate the curve on County D, overcorrected, and went into the oncoming lane.
