A popular chain is making moves to bring its signature fusion of fun and food to a piece of prime New Jersey real estate. Dave & Busters, beloved for its combination of recreation and dining, has submitted a proposal for a new location in Freehold, reports local media outlet Asbury Park Press.

The concept is hoping to take over 40,158 square feet in the Freehold Raceway Mall, situated at 3710 US-9. Dave & Buster’s, complete with a full bar and restaurant, is hoping to move into the space that formerly housed the ground floor of Sears.

The chain is still awaiting township Planning Board approval for its proposal.

Dave & Buster’s will offer ample seating for hungry Jersey residents eager for an evening of arcade games and delicious elevated pub fare. The proposal calls for 137 tables and a total of 545 seats. The brand’s operation statement states: “It’s the best attributes of entertainment and casual dining in one location.”

As township approval is still pending, a potential opening timeline is not yet available. However, should the proposal come to plan, Dave & Buster’s will be open Sundays to Wednesdays, from 11 a.m. to midnight, Thursdays, from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Fridays and Saturdays, from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
