House Fire on Inwood Place in Plainfield
PLAINFIELD, NJ — Shortly before 11:30am on Saturday, the Plainfield Fire Department responded to a fire at a single-family home on Inwood Place in Plainfield, near its intersection with Leland Avenue. Firefighters and emergency medical personnel were on hand, though it is yet unclear if there were any injuries. Smoke billowed above the residential neighborhood early on, but the fire was contained quickly. It appeared to be in the upper portion of the home, as damage from the outside was only visible at the attic of the Cape Cod-style house.
