(KRON) — A white rabbit named Tinkerbell was rescued from a burning house in Fremont thanks to firefighters.

Multiple 911 callers reported that flames and smoke were rising from a house on Salton Sea Lane just before noon Wednesday. One resident fled from the house to safety. But the bunny was still inside.

The Fremont Fire Department stated, “Crews arrived to find an exterior fire that extended to the attic. Aggressive action by firefighters prevented fire extension to other parts of the one story residence.”

“Tinkerbell, the family's beloved rabbit, was safely located by firefighters near the front of the residence and reunited with loved ones,” FFD wrote.

The house sustained moderate damages from the fire. Two adults, one child, and two pets were displaced as a result of the blaze.
