Reynolds issues preemptive disaster proclamation for flooding
Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds issued a disaster proclamation Monday for Pottawattamie, Harrison, Mills, Monona and Fremont counties in response to impending flooding. The proclamation frees up state resources to prepare for, respond to and recover from flooding that is expected as water travels downstream from northwest Iowa, which was inundated by heavy rain over the weekend.
