NORTH ANDOVER — A local man accused of illegally possessing 33 guns and homemade explosives has been hit with 182 new charges less than two weeks after he was arrested. Daniel Medina, 64, was initially charged with only a handful of crimes related to illegally possessing firearms and vandalism. Medina will be held for 120 days without bail as a result of a dangerousness hearing held Friday afternoon which found he was “a danger” to the general public.

WORCESTER — The city pool at Crompton Park will be closed until Saturday after pieces of glass were found in the water. Workers will need to drain the pool and search the floor for any glass. A man was seriously hurt in a car crash Monday night in Hooksett, New Hampshire, that left the other driver behind bars on a drunken driving charge, police said. Brady Gut, a 31-year-old from Chichester, faces a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated for the crash, which occurred on Hooksett Road about 7:38 p.m. The other driver, a 70-year-old Hooksett man, is expected to survive, Hooksett police said Tuesday.
