FREMONT - Lindsay, Gibsonburg and Fremont will be hosting community festivals this weekend.
The Lindsey Sunflower and Homecoming Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at Wendelle Miller Park, 240 S. Main St. in Lindsey. There will be a 5K Race, children's games, live music from 1 to 9 p.m. and over 45 vendors and food trucks. Other activities include a cake walk, Baby Royalty and Sunflower Contest, plus a cornhole tournament.
The Suns Flower and Creek Bend farms will be hosting additional activities at their sites on this same day. There will be a trolley to Creek Bend Farm.

Wine Fest in Gibsonburg
In Gibsonburg, the 7th Annual Arts and Wine Fest will be 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday in Williams Park. Participating wineries and breweries in 2024 are Brewing Green, Chalet Debonne Vineyards, Chateau Winery and Vineyard, Double Wing Brewing Co., Feisty Mead, Oncore Brewing, Ugly Bunny Winery, and White Stag Winery. Live entertainment begins at 3 p.m.
Park in the Park on Sunday
Back in Fremont, Trinity United Methodist Church will host a “Party in the Park” from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 28, at Conner Park, 2300 Morrison Road, in the Norm Fausey Shelter House.
The public is welcome to join in various scheduled activities beginning with a worship service at 11 a.m. with Tricia McElfresh providing children’s moments, music by Clay Kirchenbauer and a message by Pastor Andrea Thurston.
Following the service, a light lunch and a variety of fun activities for kids and adults will be available.
Activities will be facepainting, bingo, “Holy Putt Putt/Pickleball” and music provided by DJ Johnny Jukebox. There will be gift baskets and a dunk tank.
