The Fourth Annual Chasing Jami Memorial 5K — GLOW/COLOR Run will be 8:45 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 in Rodger Young Park in Fremont.

This messy but fun run is in honor of Jami Toeppe Raubenolt, who lost her battle with glioblastoma brain cancer in February 2021, according to a press release.

    Proceeds to aid Pontifex programs

Raubenolt was an avid runner. All proceeds for this race will benefit Pontifex, Inc., a local non-profit in Fremont.

The organization feeds the hungry with a weekly food pantry, and two soup kitchens — one at 4 p.m. Tuesdays and 11 a.m. Fridays and it also offers showers for those in need.

Runners and walkers will follow the glow lit path while getting blasted with color.

Awards will be handed out to the top three men and women runners, and the top three boy and girl runners. Packet can be picked starting at 7 p.m. Friday.

Participants must pre-register to be guaranteed a T-shirt.

To sign, visit https://raceroster.com/events/2024/90086/chasing-jami-memorial-5k . Participants may also register at Pontifex,416 W. State St., or on race day.
