TOLEDO, Ohio — A local fisherman is being called a hero after saving a person from the Maumee River early Wednesday morning. JoEm Fodor Seibenick, age 79, peacefully passed away on July 24, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born on March 2, 1945, to Joseph and Emma Fodor. JoEm graduated from Devilbiss High School in 1963, where she showcased her talents as a dancer in the DeViltries. She furthered her education at the University of Toledo, earning an associate degree in business and dancing with the Rockettes. JoEm dedicated 14 years of her career to Owens Illinois, working as a secretary in patent law, environmental, industrial relations and human resources, before contributing 30 more years at Owens Corning.
