FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Court action in the Central Valley truly never sleeps. Over at Fresno City College, Fresno Pro-Am hosts a full slate of basketball games every Saturday.

“We’re NBA sanctioned and NCAA sanctioned as well,” said Fresno Pro-Am Founder Alton Williams. “Players from both of those institutions come out and play and see it as a good opportunity to measure their talent with professionals.”

Rosters are made up of Central Valley stars including some former and current Bulldogs. The Pro-Am was created two years ago and they now have eight teams competing.

“With the Fresno State guys, one of the most interesting parts is we’ll get a recruit in that signs to Fresno State and the red wave gets an opportunity to see them play their first minutes in Fresno on this court,” said Williams. “It’s happened for the last two years so its pretty exciting to continue that tradition with new bulldogs.”

There will be playoffs and the season will conclude with a championship on August 3.
