    Woman fined for trying to sell illegal fireworks in Fresno

    FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KG P E ) – A woman was put into custody and was fined during an undercover investigation involving the sale of illegal fireworks in Fresno, the Fresno Police Department said.

    Officers announced Thursday that undercover Fresno Police detectives, alongside Fresno Fire investigators, contacted an online seller through the Facebook marketplace and set up a purchase of illegal fireworks.

    Investigators say the suspect then met with the undercover detectives and she was taken into custody. Additionally, the illegal fireworks were confiscated and she received a ticket for $2,250 as a result.
