Raising Cane’s opens third Fresno location; second in as many months

Raising Cane’s continued its Fresno takeover on Tuesday morning with the grand opening of a third store, bringing the flavor of the Louisiana-based chicken fingers to Southeast Fresno.

Located at 4981 East Cesar Chavez Boulevard, formerly known as Kings Canyon Road , the store near Willow Avenue is the fourth in the Fresno/Clovis area; in 2021, Raising Cane’s was introduced to the Valley, first in Clovis in 2021 before opening a location in Fresno in 2022.

Fans of fried chicken gathered eagerly for the restaurant’s grand opening at 9 a.m., which featured a DJ, “Lucky 20” drawing, with 20 lucky customers winning free Cane’s for a year, free giveaways for customers and more.

The restaurant features a spacious dining area and patio, double-lane drive-through and also offers carry-out options. Customers can also order ahead using the Raising Cane’s mobile app.

The grand opening marked the 93rd California store.

“Raising Cane’s is making waves here in Fresno with three locations in the last two years,” said Taylor Day, area leader of restaurants. “We look forward to serving our delicious Chicken Finger meals to Customers on the vibrant Southeast side of town.”

The grand opening also featured a check presentation to the Fresno Police Athletic League (PAL), an organization that aims to bridge the gap between law enforcement and youth in the community.

The grand opening marks the second in as many months with a new restaurant located at the Marketplace at El Paseo celebrating its grand opening in June .

The restaurant will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
