    Fresno airport experiencing delays after global technology disruption

    FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A global technology outage grounded flights, knocked banks and hospital systems offline and media outlets off air on Friday in a massive disruption that affected companies and services around the world, including the Fresno Yosemite International Airport.

    The Fresno Yosemite International Airport says some airlines have been experiencing delays however they’re slowly resuming. The airport is asking passengers to contact their airline for flight status. For more information on flights visit FlyFresno .

    There were at least twelve flight cancelations and twelve flight delays, according to the airport,

    Several airlines face global ground stop and services disrupted worldwide in wake of major Microsoft Outage

    Cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike said a software issue is believed to be behind the outage, stressing this was not a security incident or cyberattack.

    Crowdstrike says a fix is on the way. The company said the problem occurred when it deployed a faulty update to computers running Microsoft Windows.

    Airlines and airports around the United States, Europe, Australia, India, and elsewhere were also reporting problems, with some flights grounded.
