    IDENTIFIED: Man dead after being chased by a group in Fresno, police say

    FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – The man who died after he was chased by a group of men while walking to a neighborhood store in Fresno over the weekend has been identified, according to the Fresno Police Department.

    Officers say a ShotSpotter activation alerted police to Modoc Street and Strother Avenue just before 11 p.m. on Sunday. Once on scene, they found 22-year-old Jerrell Rogers suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

    Police say the motive for the shooting is unknown, but detectives are searching the area for witnesses and surveillance footage.
