    Suspect in May shooting in Fresno arrested, police say

    FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A 23-year-old man was arrested and booked into Fresno County Jail on suspicion of shooting another man in the leg, police say.

    According to the Fresno Police Department, 23-year-old Joseph Delarosa was involved in an argument with 28-year-old Jamel Bevins on May 24 at 1023 North Sherman Court.

    Officers say Delarosa shot Bevins in the thigh in the parking lot of an apartment complex after the two got into an argument and Bevins attempted to leave. Bevins was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.

    According to police, Delarosa was arrested following a traffic stop on Tuesday and booked into Fresno County Jail. The gun allegedly used in the incident has not been recovered.
