Human skull, decomposed body found in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A human skull and a decomposed body were found in south Fresno Thursday morning, according to the Fresno Police Department.

Police say around 7:30 a.m. officers were called to the area of Nicholas and Florence Avenues where a resident in the area found what appeared to be a human skull.

When investigators arrived on the scene, they later found a decomposed body down the street in a shed at an abandoned house.

Police say they believe the skull and the body are a match.

The remains were taken to the coroner’s office for examination and identification. The body and skull were in the late stages of decomposition, according to police.

Police say the case is still under Investigation.
