Home health aide may have overdosed in client's bathroom, police say
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A home health aide in Fayette is facing charges after police say she may have overdosed in her client's bathroom.According to Family Choice Healthcare, Nicole Walker, 27, was hired at their company 6 weeks ago. Family Choice Healthcare provides in-home care for clients to assist with daily living activities. A spokesperson said their clients receive service under the Pennsylvania Medicaid – Community Health Choice Waiver program.They said their clients then can choose to hire or fire the aide workers.Brad and Kim Heckman said they hired Walker about three weeks ago to care for their 80-year-old mother Flay."Her shift...

Good morning. I’m introducing a new series intended to take a look at each team in the new Big 12. I’m not sure how many I’ll get done each week, but the only way for me to really know about these teams is to actually do the research so I can be relatively informed when the season hits. So I spent time doing the research this weekend. There are links to everything below so if there isn’t a link, then I didn’t write it, but I always link back to the originator of the content. Baltimore ties a record of four consecutive days at/over 100 degrees
BALTIMORE — It's not just hot, it's record-breaking hot here in Baltimore and across the whole state of Maryland. It's official as of 2:00 PM EDT, BWI has officially hit 100 degrees. This doesn't break the record for today, but it ties a heat record. As of today July 17, 2024, BWI has recorded four consecutive days at or above 100 degrees. On July 14, BWI recorded 101 degrees tying a record set back in 1954. On July 15, BWI recorded a high of 102 tying a record set back in 1995. On July 16, BWI recorded a high of 104 set back in 1988. The last time this happened was in 1930. The hottest temperature recorded at BWI was 107 degrees on July 10, 1930. So no you are not crazy, it has just been crazy hot!
