JEFFERSON HILLS, Pa. (KDKA) - The flame has officially been extinguished at the former Blue Flame Restaurant in Jefferson Hills. On Tuesday, crews took down the iconic sign marking the end of an era. West Virginia Ranks 10th in 2024 MLB Draft Slot Value
Players drafted out of West Virginia University earned the 10th highest amount of signing bonus slot money out of any college in the nation. Five Mountaineers were drafted in the 2024 MLB Draft, headlined by 7th overall pick JJ Wetherholt. Other Mountaineers drafted include David Hagaman (4th round), Aidan Major (5th round), Derek Clark (9th round), and Tyler Switalski (16th round). Combined, those five players signed for $8,018,500 in signing bonus slot money.
