Bears Announce 2024-2025 Home Opener
The Binghamton Black Bears will hang their Commissioner's Cup banner on Saturday, October 12th during the team's home opener. The 2024-2025 FPHL schedule has not been released, but the Black Bears did announce on social media that the team's home opener will be on October 12th at 7 pm against the Watertown Wolves. The team also alluded that the home opener will be the day the 2023-2024 Commissioner's Cup Champions banner will be hoisted.

Binghamton man sentenced to probation after setting fire that destroyed vacant house
A Binghamton man who admitted to setting a blaze that destroyed a vacant house in the city earlier this year will get no jail time. Binghamton police in February charged Terry Bell, 56, with fourth-degree arson, a felony, following an investigation into a blaze at 122 Henry St. in the city.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Binghamton men's and women's swimming & diving swept Marist in their final dual meet Saturday afternoon at McCann Natatorium. Senior utility player Allison L'Amoreaux earns first-team All-Mid Atlantic Region honors from NFCA for the 2024 season, her first time receiving this recognition. L'Amoreaux, also named America East Player of the Year, contributed to Binghamton's share of the conference Regular-Season championship and a 33-18 record this season. She excelled as a starting pitcher and first baseman, posting a 13-5 record with a 3.25 ERA and 105 strikeouts in 116.1 innings pitched.
